DrCloudEHR™ Team Receives Mental Health First Aid Certification
DrCloudEHR™ executive leadership and staff members are now certified in Mental Health First Aid after DrCloudEHR sponsored and hosted an eight-hour class for their staff on Thursday, October 6, 2016, at their corporate headquarters in Beaverton, Oregon. The class was facilitated by Mental Health First Aid Trainer Jim Clarkson. “I am so impressed and gratified that DrCloud EHR not only has created a first-class electronic health record for behavioral health providers, but also is deeply committed to understanding the clients, families, and communities that behavioral health providers serve. By offering their leadership and staff Mental Health First Aid Training—their entire team not only has a very good understanding of mental health and substance use disorders faced by nearly twenty percent of our fellow citizens every day but also now know how to help when the opportunity arises with someone who may be developing or experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis.”
The Mental Health First Aid Certification class is part of a larger company-wide initiative by DrCloudEHR to not only offer the nation’s leading electronic health record solution for behavioral health providers, but to also lead the way in understanding our customer’s customer—the individuals, families, and communities served by the behavioral health provider community. This initiative includes ongoing behavioral health training courses, attendance at open Alcoholics Anonymous and other 12 step meetings, regular consultation with behavioral health leaders, and the convening of EnSoftek’s panel of behavioral health subject matter experts—leaders in the development of recovery-oriented systems of care, trauma-informed care, billing, negotiating with third-party payers, process improvement, and, of course, technology. This panel of subject matter experts specifically helps our current and potential customers to maximize the robust functionality of DrCloudEHR and to address the real-world issues that keep behavioral health leaders up at night—contracting, claims, billing, audits, revenue cycle management, and the provision of the best clinical and recovery-oriented care possible.
“It was a pleasure to spend the day learning about Mental Health First Aid and learning more about the challenges of the clients our customers treat every day—helping them to a new and better life”, said Ramana Reddy, CEO of Dr Cloud EHR. “Our company is deeply committed to providing the most robust and responsive integrated Electronic Health Record available to providers. We are also keenly aware how foundational our relationships with providers are—relationships built on listening, trust, responsiveness and authenticity– because, at the end of the day, this work is all about improving lives, through integrated and recovery oriented care and the best that both human services and technology has to offer, of the people they serve.
Mental Health First Aid is an 8-hour course that teaches how to identify, understand and respond to signs of mental illness and substance use disorders. The training offers the skills needed to reach out and provide initial help and support to someone who may be developing a mental health or substance use problem or experiencing a crisis.
